WHAT IS IT AND WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO?

1.     The first thing that you need to do is to open up UPM SMP course registration system and register for LAX 2003. Jot down your group number.

2.     Go to LIST OF GROUPS AND CONTACT DETAILS

3.     Retrieve the Edmodo Key Code and join your Edmodo group.

Please take note that the list is incomplete. The committee will update this list from time to time upon receiving the information from the instructors. If your group key code is not listed, a simple solution to this is to contact your instructor directly. Go to LIST OF INSTRUCTORS.

4.     Introduce yourself by posting your details so your other group members can contact you, and vice versa. Use the following format:

Matric Number, Full Name, Email Address, Mobile Number, Faculty, Residential College

5.     Contact the other group members. Edmodo is for you. Use it to communicate with your other group members. View it as your facebook, but for academic purposes.

6.     Set up your first meeting. Plan on how to complete the task assigned and select the group leader. Do not forget to record your group discussion. Please refer to Weekly Schedule (Timeline) and List of Movies (available from www.lax2003.blogspot.com)

7.     If you are not familiar with Edmodo, click What is Edmodo for details.

LAX 2003: MOVIE REVIEW
Identify three movies from LIST A and one short movie from LIST B that your group will watch and review in LAX Week 2, 3, 4 and 6.
To ensure the smooth flow of the discussion session, you have to watch these movies before the group discussion session and refer to Guide on How to Review a Movie.
The group discussion session should last for 2 hours, but you are only required to video-record 20 to 30 minutes of the discussion.
Everyone should be featured participating actively in the video and speak for about 2 minutes throughout the video.
Upload the video onto YouTube. Ensure not to set it as ‘private’. This can be done by any group member.
Copy the link, and EVERY GROUP MEMBER must ‘Turned in’ the link via Edmodo before the due date (please refer to Weekly Schedule Timeline) as evidence of task completion.

Why is it important to ‘Turned in’ each group discussion video on time?
Late submission will not be entertained, and you will not be awarded with any marks. If your attendance and task completion are less than 80%, you will receive a TM (Tidak Memuaskan) and may have to take another LAX activity of equal or more points in the following semester to ensure you complete all the LAX points required for your graduation.
